Information Technology Professional Services (ITPS)
Service Description
Master Contracts for both professional services and purchased IT services.
DIS Implements New Master Contract Program - DIS has developed
and implemented an enterprise master contract program for use by all of our
customers. The ITPS Program aligns an important part of the state’s information
technology functions with DIS, which has primary responsibility for supporting
statewide technology services, programs, and policies.
The program will:

Create a reduction in time, effort and cost associated with acquisition process
for our customers

Provide compliance with the respective competitive requirements for customers
-
Eliminate redundant customer work and associated vendor impact with a
centralized approach
-
Increase customers’ ability to respond to urgent needs without
violating/avoiding competitive requirements

Increase customers’ ability to focus on decision-making vs. operational
support
-
Increase the visibility of vendor performance and related information
sharing
-
Increase vendor opportunities through annual “refresh” opportunities.
Information Technology Professional Services (ITPS) include:

Professional or technical expertise provided by a contractor to accomplish a
specific study, project, task or duties (Examples: Feasibility studies,
Business and technology planning, Acquisition planning and technology
assessment, Project management, Quality assurance services, Disaster recovery
planning, Business process re-engineering, Performance assessment, Technical
writing)

Purchased services and activities to accomplish routine, continuing, and
necessary IT functions. (Examples: Routine programming, Assisting with network
operations and support, Security services, Testing system and components,
Hardware and software installation and maintenance, System or equipment
maintenance and repair, Data entry services, Internet programming services and
website maintenance)
