Service Description

Transact Washington™ makes it easier for citizens to do business with their government. Customers can access numerous secure services offered by multiple state agencies, and conduct the following activities: pay for permits, maintain records, fulfill reporting requirements, or file taxes.

Agencies maintain control of their own applications while relying on the gateway to manage authentication and access. Transact Washington is an extension of the state's Internet portal, Access Washington™

Features:

  • Technical staff are on call 24 hours a day to resolve any system problems with the production environment
  • A customer test system provides availability and support from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday
  • Provides a single sign-on area to access many different services provided by multiple agencies
  • Uses the latest digital certificate technology to authenticate user identities
  • Increases business efficiencies by eliminating paper copy follow-up to online business
  • Real-time online customer registration and maintenance of agency applications
  • A replicated, actively load-balanced production environment to support automated registration and set-up for public applications
  • Includes development, system test, customer test, and production environments

How Do We Charge?

The Transact Washington™ gateway is part of a security allocation fee to agencies. It is packaged with SecureAccess Washington® and Fortress Anonymous. The Security Gateway allocation is a monthly fee based upon three components: a fee per agency, a fee based upon the number of agency employees and a count of agency applications.

Description Fee
A portion of the allocation Security Gateway allocation is based upon a fee per agency for agencies greater than 50 full time equivalents (FTEs)
$1,500
The second component of the fee is a fee per FTE regardless of agency size
$1.38 per FTE
The third component is a fee per application $157.59
