Welcome to the Citizens' Network (CN) — a service to disseminate state agency and non-profit video productions and programming for public viewing via government and public access channels. This service provides an opportunity for state agencies and non-profits to reach out to public access broadcasters. It also helps public access broadcast organizations locate quality programming that will inform their viewers.

WHO: Interactive Technologies, a division of the Department of Information Services (DIS), has been producing video programming for state agencies since 1994. Many of these video and broadcast programs are designed for public education purposes. Cable providers around the state are required by the Federal Communications Commission to provide public access and/or government channels for local, state government and public use. In either case, many of these access channels are in need of quality programming.
WHAT: A service to disseminate state agency and non-profit video productions and programming accessible for public viewing.
HOW: DIS Interactive Technologies will maintain the list of available programming on the CN Web page for access organizations to review and request. Requests for use can be sent to Shawndra Michell.
A high-quality copy of the requested programming will be sent to the access organization to copy and return at their expense. Retire dates may be assigned to material that may become dated.
RESULT: A method used to disseminate important information to the public via government and public access channels. Many access organizations will air the programming more than once across a variety of viewing times, which increases the reach into local communities.
