Transact Washington™ is the state's authentication gateway to secure government services. Transact Washington is an extension of the state's Internet portal, Access Washington and leverages Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and digital certificate technology to identify and authenticate users. Using a single digital certificate, customers can access numerous secure services offered by multiple state agencies including paying for permits, maintaining records, fulfilling reporting requirements or filing taxes, all in a single Internet session. Agencies maintain control of their own applications while relying on the gateway to manage authentication and access control.
