Service Description

DIS Voice Mail and Messaging Services provide a variety of services including: call forwarding, message waiting, voice mail, and operator assistance. A wide variety of services are available to meet multiple requirements.

SIMON (State Interagency Messaging Network) voice mail systems are installed at central office locations with 100-plus voice mailboxes. Qwest offers its Business Voice Mail Service (BVMS), at SIMON rates, for locations with less than 100 mailboxes.

Verizon offers the Enabled Voice Mail (EVM) System, which integrates voice mail with e-mail, for users who are located on the state Capitol Campus. EVM is useful for a variety of work environments including: telecommuting, information storage, and service/information desks.

Customer Responsibilities:
To obtain services from DIS, eligible organizations must enter into a Customer Service Agreement (CSA).
